Part of the reason for this is your subconscious mind. In fact, your subconscious is a major hindrance to acquiring truth.
As a ‘taster’, consider this:
“Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” – Carl Jung
This is actually one of the most important quotes ever!
Because subconscious/unconscious conditioning and other crap that we all have ‘running’ below the level of our awareness is controlling our lives. As Jung says, people call this control, fate.
By definition, the subconscious/unconscious part of us is generally out of our awareness – we know little of what is there.
I know all this from deep and extensive personal experience.
Take time to think about how logical it is. How truthful.
A key reason I recovered from severe mental illness (primarily parent inflicted) was because I accessed and ‘healed’ my deep subconscious.
So, I will paraphrase the quote:
“Until you heal your subconscious/unconscious, it will control your life, ‘make’ you do ‘unhelpful’ things and you, being in the ‘dark’, will think that what happens is either ‘meant to be’ or that it ‘cannot be helped’. You will also think that you know ‘truth’, when instead you are ‘blinded’ by conditioning. You will always be a slave to what others once said, did to you, or caused you to experience.”
The first starting point on your journey to know truth is to see that truth is highly desirable.
Let’s think about this in more detail.
If you know truth you are:
- Not deluded
- Better informed
- In control
- Living life much more fully
- Not a fool, though you may be considered so by arrogant, misinformed or stupid folk
- Able to feel better on the inside – emotionally
The next step is to decide to find out the truth, no matter what the cost.
You see, when you seek truth it can be painful for a variety of reasons. One of these reasons is that you have to let go of your own opinion if it is shown to be incorrect. In other words you have to be humble.
So what do I mean by truth?
I quote from Wikipedia – Objectivity:
Objectivity is a central philosophical concept, related to reality and truth, which has been variously defined by sources. Generally, objectivity means the state or quality of being true even outside of a subject’s individual feelings, imaginings, or interpretations. A proposition is generally considered to be objectively true (to have objective truth) when its truth conditions are met and are “mind-independent”—that is, existing freely or independently from a mind (from the thoughts, feelings, ideas, etc. of a sentient subject). In a simpler meaning of the term, objectivity refers to the ability to judge fairly, without bias or external influence.
I do not mean ‘your truth’ or similar drivel. Countless people have this idea of ‘their truth’; which is simply a subjective opinion. I quote again from Wikipedia – Subjectivity:
Subjectivity is a term used in philosophy to refer to the condition of being a subject and the subject’s perspective, feelings, beliefs, and desires. The term is usually contrasted with objectivity, which is used to describe humans as “seeing” the universe exactly for what it is from a standpoint free from human perception and its influences, human cultural interventions, past experience and expectation of the result.
Before we go on I want to clarify something…Don’t worry about how hard all this is going to be. It is not going to be as hard as you might imagine when you employ the techniques which I teach. The key factor is to decide that you want truth – set your ‘inner compass’ to want it. If you think about that logically, by setting your desire in this way, what do you think you are more likely to attract? More truth.
It gets deeper too (this paragraph is not for atheists, agnostics or other skeptics)…there is a ‘superconscious’ mind ‘out there’ – a cosmic mind, Divine mind – whatever you want to call it. Now, when you are humble and deeply desire to find out truth (nothing to do with religious dogma) the Spirit world knows. And guess what you attract? The more of a ‘vacuum’ you are (humble) the more teachable you become and the more wisdom and truth you can ‘stock up on’. I know which I prefer. This is a key reason why being humble is very smart thinking indeed. Mr Arrogant Fancy Pants has it all wrong.
What you are aware of you are in control of; what you are not aware of is in control of you. – Anthony De Mello
Another aspect of truth for spiritual people is that you become more accurate with your ‘knowledge from the other side’. You hold yourself accountable and only accept things when you know they are true. As time passes, you become more sensitive to the ‘spiritual signature’ of what you pick up. As you work on clearing your subconscious you get increasing knowledge from the superconscious mind.
Let me tell you a story about what happened with a young atheist man I know. This man had heard from both his sister and mother that I could read photos of people. By reading photos I mean that I get information about the person which does not come from body language or anything else visible in the picture, nor from any previous knowledge of the subject (person). Now, this young man is highly intelligent and studies at Bond University – he considers himself a rationalist. He gave me a picture of his then girlfriend – a head and shoulder shot of a 16 year old girl (this was some years ago) in a white blouse with straight blondish hair. I started off by giving him general information (which I felt ‘clearance/OK’ from Spirit about divulging). I kept getting a word in my mind strongly and repeatedly. I told the man I was getting the word ‘goth’ strongly and asked if he knew why. He then declared that his girlfriend thought she was a goth, even though she did not look or dress like one. That was honest of him (and I admire that) because he was of an atheist and so-called ‘rational’ mindset, it would have been easy to have said nothing. His mother witnessed this incident also, though she was unsurprised, having seen that kind of thing regularly. Today, the man doesn’t dispute that there is a superconscious type mind, however he now focuses on how in his view we can’t know what it is, or describe it, instead of getting to know it better. What does it matter exactly what it is? Results are key. Whether it is God, a cosmic collective mind or whatever, is a minor consideration.
Your subconscious mind will resist truth at times, however my technique will help you deal with that. So relax.
Remember that I have been there and done that. My mind was once in a terrible state so if there was hope for me, there is plenty for you.
I won’t go into lots of detail here now, however finding truth includes learning about deluded ways of thinking. A classic example is the: ‘he, she or it made me angry’ idea. This is deeply embedded in society’s collective psyche and most people are conditioned to think this way from a young age. It’s also part of the ‘blame culture’. It’s not only disempowering (he, she or it is in control), it is bullshit. I will prove it to you in my next post in this deep mind change series. Bear in mind though, that once you know the truth consciously after reading my next post, your subconscious will still think the same! This is why my deep mind change method is so vital – it enables your subconscious to align with truth. Just imagine how frustrated you might feel when you know that you shouldn’t be someone’s ‘puppet’ (because you read my next article), yet you still are. This kind of situation is why so many people still struggle after seeing counsellors, psychologists, life coaches and so on. Your subconscious treats you as its bitch! Suck on that!…and wait for the irony…your subconscious doesn’t know the difference between truth and falsehood! (I will cover this issue in a later post).
